While in Damascus, Ahmadinejad met with representatives of the Palestininian terrorist groups Hamas and Islamic Jihad. Mr. Ahmadinejad is laying the groundwork for what he believes will be the return of the Imam Mahdi. Mr. Ahmadinejad is a member of an apocalyptic sect within Shia Islam who believe in the soon return of the Imam Mahdi.

In this respect, Mr. Ahmadinejad is a Persian equivalent of US President George W. Bush. Bush a high-ranking Freemason believes in the soon return of the Masonic Christ (who is not to be confused with Jesus Christ. Mr. Bush's own personal opinion of Jesus as he stated is "the world's greatest philosopher". Nowhere has Mr. Bush said that Jesus Christ is God the Son Incarnate).

In Bush's world view, the Masonic Christ and the Buddhist Maitreya are one and the same person. This is why the war in the Middle East is necessary- to bring about the return of the Masonic Christ and the Buddhist Maitreya.

Rev. Pat Robertson, also a high-ranking Freemason, shares Mr. Bush's beliefs. Robertson, like Bush, is supported by right-wing New Age pagan groups like the Mormon Church and Rev. Sun Myung-Moon's Unification Church.

Al Gore who will probably run for President again in 2008 is supported by left-wing New Age pagan groups like Share International and the Tara Center.

Ahmadinejad who is preparing for war in the Middle East to bring about the return of the Imam Mahdi is just the opposite end of the stick from Mr. Bush who is preparing for war in the Middle East to bring about the return of the Masonic Christ and the Buddhist Maitreya.
